Domain Name Transfer Tutorial
If you have already purchased a domain name on your own, you will need to make a minor change in your DNS settings.
Don't worry, it's a simple process and it in no way effects the ownership or integrity of the domain name.
This change simply points your domain name to the correct location of your new website.
Example: Login to Your GoDaddy Account
After logging in to GoDaddy, hover over the "Domains" tab and click
"My Domains."
From there, click on the domain you would like to forward.
Change Your Domain Settings
Once you have accessed the panel for the domain you'd like to forward, click on "Name Servers" at the top of the panel and then select "Custom Nameservers." Enter the following into the first two name server boxes:
- NS1.STEPSMARKETING.COM
- NS2.STEPSMARKETING.COM
Click OK. Now just send us an email with the subject "Changed My Nameserver" and we'll make the necessary adjustments on our end. That's it!
Allow about 24-48 hours for the changes to take effect.
