Front-End Developer / Customer Support

Steps Marketing is looking for a full-time front-end developer in a customer support role. Candidates must have a minimum of 2 years of HTML/CSS development experience. This is an in-house position in our Chico, CA office.

Job Description / Duties

Provide front-line support to website customers by answering and responding to telephone and email requests; implement and publish requested content, markup, and/or coding changes to websites; provide technical support; greet walk-in customers; occassionally cut and code new websites from mockups; potentially other programming tasks depending on education and experience; various office tasks.

Requirements

  • Strong experience with CSS, HTML, and JavaScript
  • Great interpersonal communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Experience with Adobe Photoshop and/or Fireworks
  • Examples of work
  • Excellent phone and communication skills
  • Strong working knowledge of web standards
  • Basic understanding of the HTTP protocol
  • Ability build HTML/CSS pages quickly from scratch
  • Fast learner
  • High attention to detail
